Report on Enteric Fever in 1st Battalion, 11th Regiment, at Subathoo, in 1873

The growing interest attached to enteric fever and its seemingly increasing prevalence among British soldiers in India have led me to offer for publication the following account of a mild outbreak which occurred at this IIill Station last year. The fever was, at the time, ascribed to the bad quality of the drinking water, and this view of its causation is still entertained.
